Nominate

Are you proud to be from WNY? So are we! This is why we started the “City of Good Neighbors” recognition program; to raise awareness of the people that are doing good in our community. Please help us catch people doing good, and when you do, please recognize them by telling their story here.

We are looking for everyday stories that make WNY the “City of Good Neighbors” in the form of nominations of individuals, families, businesses, organizations and schools. Nominate someone for demonstrating an act of character and each month we will award the winners with recognition and a small token of appreciation.

The Fine Print

Nominations for a single trait will be accepted for the entire month the trait is highlighted. The Character Council of WNY will choose up to three nominations per category to be recognized on the City of Good Neighbors Website and Facebook Page.  Only nominations submitted through the website will be considered. Awards winners will be notified the following month. Nominee needs to live or work within the 8 counties of WNY.

Better Community

Organizations/Schools

This award category recognizes a community or non-profit organization, community-based group and/or a school who you feel has demonstrated the character trait of the month in a specific manner.  Nominating is simple!  Just answer a few questions and tell us a little about your nominee’s act of character.
